Commission – Collaboration with Ignacio Romero
scale 1:50.000 | 200×200×70 mm

This project was a commission to create a physical model of Mount Everest that would house an authentic rock collected from its peak. At a scale of 1:50.000, we 3D-modeled the mountain and carved it from a solid block of hardwood (rauli) using CNC technology. The resulting piece measures 20 × 20 × 7 cm, capturing the dramatic topography of the world’s highest mountain in precise relief. The model rests on a base designed with a niche to cradle the stone, establishing a dialogue between digital representation and the raw materiality of the summit itself.
