ishigami ashtray

$200.00

Conceptual Sculpture
scale 1:200 | 200×200×50 mm

Inspired by the japanese architect Junya Ishigami and the house he designed for his mother, this piece translates architectural form into an everyday object through a play of scale. At 1:200, the house becomes an ashtray, its geometry redefined by use. The process combined digital and traditional techniques: the object was 3D-modeled, printed, then cast in molten tin using a silicone mold, resulting in a solid, durable piece. The study on scale demonstrates how architectural ideas can inhabit new purposes.
